History
Ladies Circle has a long history, dating back to the 1930's when the wives of Round Table members got together and decided that it wasn't right that the blokes were having all the fun. For many years, members of Circle were wives (and latterly, partners) of Round Tablers. Since 1993 however, membership has been open to any woman between the ages of 18 and 45.
Times move on and in keeping with our young membership so do we. This year, we're looking at some of the bureaucracy that has evolved in Circle and seeing what we can scrap - we don't want to lose the spirit of fun, friendship and fundraising but we don't believe that the fourth 'F' - formality - is necessary.
